BEK Broadcasting Network of Steele, N.D., announced that Farmers Union Insurance is the cooperative’s newest premier sponsor of the BEK Broadcasting Network (previously BEK Sports). The network provides coverage of high school athletic competitions throughout North Dakota.
“We’re excited for this partnership with Farmers Union Insurance,” said Darwin Fettig, marketing manager for BEK Communications Cooperative. “The company’s investment in rural communities and cooperative roots align perfectly with our mission.”
With recent partnerships, the BEK Broadcasting Network is now carried throughout North Dakota on rural cable affiliates and over the air on channels KNDB Ch-26 Bismarck, KNDB Ch-24 Minot, and KRDK Ch-4 Fargo and Grand Forks.
“The ability to watch a high school sporting event or activity from the comfort of your own home is really life enriching for those that can’t attend,” said Kevin Ressler, Farmers Union Insurance sales and marketing manager. “It builds and strengthens a sense of community, exactly what we’re about at Farmers Union Insurance. We are proud to support this effort.”
The BEK Broadcasting Network recently relocated its studios to the University of Mary campus in Bismarck, where it broadcasts in high definition. BEK 247 and BEK Prime are the network’s two new content channels. BEK 247 provides 24/7 coverage of high school athletic competitions throughout rural North Dakota. BEK Prime will feature statewide events and top athletic and non-athletic competitions broadcast in primetime.
